It’s that time of year again and we CAN NOT wait to be Rummaging in Warwick again as a part of Jumpers & Jazz in July!
For anyone who is familiar with this community Festival, they will know how infectious the colour, craft and crochet really is when wandering through this quaint little town. Each year (for the last six years, we think, we can’t be quite sure) we have set up our suitcases along the main street and back alleys, peddlin’ craft and vintage wares to all the locals and visitors who come out for this wonderful weekend of music and art. It’s hard to articulate what makes this Festival so special, but we think it has something to do with the winning combination of the following: a love for craft. And we mean LOVE. The main street comes to life with trees and cars yarn bombed and covered in crochet sculptures of our favourite pop culture characters. The regional gallery has an incredible exhibition each year which is always, ALWAYS brimming with crocheted and knitted replica’s of something extraordinary (think, life size replica of a 1960’s kitchen, titled ‘knitchen’, or under water theme including seaweed and moss and critters). The wonderful team of volunteers who truly inhabit the meaning of community spirit and make the whole experience possible.
In case you haven’t noticed, we really like being a part of the this Festival.
