IT’S TIME TO GET CRAFTY!
As a part of our Pop Up Suitcase Rummage’s at BRISBANE POWERHOUSE we are hosting a Crafternoon in the lovely greenery alongside the Rummage Market.
Our workshop for May is learning the Art of Crochet. Join Federica Mandrioli (Yes, she’s Italian! & a Seasoned Rummager!) to learn the basics of this traditional and wonderful craft. Crochet is not just for women over the age of 70, oh no! It’s experiencing the most brilliant come back of crafts, so don’t miss out!
In this workshop you will learn basic crochet techniques, most common stitches, shaping and changing colour. Put this all together and you will leave with the know how to create a granny square, but more importantly, a super cute crochet bow!!
We will provide a selection of wools and hooks to work with on the day, however you are more than welcome to bring your own along.
When: Sunday May 31, 2015
Where: Performance Lawn, Brisbane Powerhouse (this is the grassy area to the left of the Powerhouse Building. Please look for the Suitcase Rummage Market, the workshop will be set up opposite this.)
Time: 12pm – 2pm
Cost: $30 (+bf)
Suitable for keen crafters of 12 years and up! If you are under the age of 15, we ask that you are accompanied by an adult. The workshop will be taught at an adult level. You do not need any prior art or craft experience – you will learn all the skills necessary to make your Crochet Bow during the workshop. The workshop will have a maximum of 10 participants, so it will be an intimate and hands on learning experience.
