We had such a wonderful time in Canberra a few weekends ago, so much so, that we wanted to share it with all our Rummage friends who couldn’t be there with us!
For the last six (or so) years we’ve teamed up with the creative folk behind Art, Not Apart – a community driven, inclusive arts festival, where the mantra is “united through art, no one’s apart.” And you know what? We think it’s pretty spesh. It’s an incredible day filled with smiling, delightful people, roving performances, dancing, music, art – and of course, a Suitcase Rummage!
We had so many wonderful creatives join us this year, set up in and around the bush filled nooks of New Acton. It really was a picturesque spot for a Rummage. We had handmade jewellery, hand printed fabrics, hand spun yarn, recycled leather, paintings, water colour portraits, mandala’s, home made soap, home grown plants! It’s fantastic to see so many makers, movers and shakers join together for a day. If only we could do it a little more often!
We had our resident photographer, Jorge Serra, take a few snaps from the day and we wanted to share them with you! So, please take a little squiz below. There’s also this great little video from the day too!
And, if you’re a Canberra local but missed out, don’t fret – it’s cemented into the community calendar as an annual event. If you need a Rummage fix sooner though, we’ll be back in New Acton in May. So, make sure you get crafting and sign up for a stall, or come along for a browse!
